Is this truly about ‘Traffic Safety’ or just a convenient ‘Development Facelift’? The design speaks for itself.

Who Chose the Center Point? It’s no coincidence that the current roundabout design closely mirrors the one first submitted by the developers of Durham Farms. From the initial design phase, it appears the center point of the roundabout was chosen to prioritize the aesthetics of the development, not the needs of the local traffic or surrounding community.

Despite claims of the roundabout being designed for safety and traffic flow, the unchanged placement and size suggest that the real priority was the development’s image. This has left residents like us to bear the brunt of unnecessary land acquisition and environmental impact.tal impact.

Was this design ever truly about the local community or just a convenient facelift for the developer?

The developer's original plans continue to influence the design today. There were claims that the 160-foot CID roundabout could not be centered on Drakes Creek due to the utility hub on the corner. However, it is evident that the hub's placement was a deliberate decision to safeguard the developer's interests and prevent any potential development from affecting their infrastructure.
